Review the Thomson Elite Policy on Virtualization of Elite Servers here.

1Unix Informix:
64 bit database engines – Enterprise only, versions 3.5 and above.

Supported:
Informix 9.40.FCx

32 bit engines:
Informix 9.40.UCx

The compiler recommended for all versions of the Informix engine is Informix 7.32 UC2.  It is a 32-bit compiler that interfaces with both 32-bit & 64-bit engines.

Supported UNIX variants are: AIX, HP-UX, Sun Solaris & DEC. Builds are tested on HP-UX. Note that the Fulcrum engine is not supported on SCO and DEC. Please contact Elite Support for further information.

Thomson Elite has done no testing on a server built with an Itanium chip and has no plans to do so.

Thomson Elite has done no testing with Informix 10 and has no plans to do so.

Thomson Elite no longer does any testing with Informix 7.  There are many clients, however, whom we know are running in that environment for both Elite for Windows and Enterprise.  Clients running with Informix 7 must use the Informix 7.32 UC2 compiler.  Please contact Thomson Elite Support for more details.

Windows Informix:
IDS 9.4.TCx 32-bit versions only.

2 Enterprise 3.3 requires that software be running on a server running Windows OS. Only the database may be Unix/Informix. All other releases of Enterprise are supported on Unix. Note that the Fulcrum engine is not supported on SCO and DEC. Please contact Elite Support for further information.

3 Windows 2003 is supported for Enterprise 3.3 (and above) and WebView 4.0 (and above). Windows 2003 R2 is now supported for Enterprise 3.5 and above & Webview 4.0 and above. Clients upgrading to Enterprise 3.5 must be on Windows 2000 or above.

4 SQL Server 2000 SP4 has been certified to run with Elite products. If AWE (Address Windowing Extensions) has been enabled, this hotfix must be applied.
