Thomson Elite Adds Executive Team Talent With Peter Ozolin and Salim Sunderji

LOS ANGELES, October , 2006 – Thomson Elite, a part of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC) and a worldwide provider of business software to professional services firms, today signaled a new level of commitment to its clients with additions to its executive team: Peter Ozolin now serves in the newly created position of vice president, Practice Management, and Salim Sunderji has joined the company as vice president, Finance.

“Peter and Salim are two of the most innovative and experienced executives in the technology industry, and I am confident that their expertise will add to Thomson Elite’s growth strategy and meet the changing needs of our clients,” said Steve Buege, president and CEO of Thomson Elite.

Ozolin, an attorney who is a longtime, well-respected leader in the industry, has dedicated much of his career to spearheading the development of legal technology solutions. He will lead the Practice Management organization and will be responsible for accelerating the new development and continued enhancement of the Elite practice management suite. Previously, Ozolin was senior vice president of enterprise solutions at Practice Technology in Venice, Calif. In addition, he served as chief technology officer at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, a global law firm with nearly 1,000 attorneys. He received both a law degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from Willamette University, and his bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from the University of Oregon.

Sunderji, who brings a wealth of enterprise resource planning (ERP) experience to the company, will lead the Finance organization and will be responsible for all financial planning and management, accounting, oversight and control activities for Thomson Elite’s operations. His vast experience managing the financials of complex international businesses provides the perspective required for the company’s rapid global expansion. Prior to joining Thomson Elite, Sunderji held several key financial positions at IBM Corporation in Armonk, N.Y. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Cornell University, Johnson School of Management, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mumbai.
